According to a recent update, the Indian passport is now the second-cheapest passport in the world to obtain after the UAE. In terms of price per year of validity, Indian passports are also the least expensive. However, only 62 countries allow visa-free travel for holders of an Indian passport. The United Arab Emirates occupies the top position in terms of acquisition costs and the number of countries where visas are not required.

The Indian passport, which represents the identity and goals of millions of Indian citizens, serves as a doorway to the rest of the globe. The national emblem adorning its deep blue cover represents possibility and the idea of global citizenship.

An Australian company called Compare the Market AU conducted the survey. The examination analyzed passport costs, cost-effectiveness, and visa-free travel value.

Mexico has the most costly passport, according to the report, costing USD 231.05 for a ten-year passport. A 10-year passport for Australia costs USD 225.78, which was slightly less.

According to a news release from the company, India’s passport ranked as the second least expensive overall, priced at USD 18.07 for a 10-year validity. The UAE’s passport costs USD 17.70 for a 5-year validity.

India has the least expensive passport in terms of cost per year of validity, at USD 1.81. In second and third place, at roughly USD 3.05 and USD 3.09, respectively, were South Africa and Kenya.

The statement continued, explaining that experts in comparing travel insurance quotes compiled a list of passport costs worldwide. They compared factors like cost, validity, and strength, revealing expensive requirements in certain countries.

Although Indian passports have economic benefits, only a limited number of countries can be visited without a visa; This contrasts with nations like Australia, the USA, and Canada, which charge comparatively higher rates even with their powerful passports.

Adrian Taylor, of Compare the Market, underscores travel insurance for peace of mind by minimizing costs related to passports.

Taylor adds that while traveling, individuals at risk of document loss can potentially receive assistance from their travel insurance policies.
